One of my favourite records in my output. Recorded in Beirut/Lebanon over a couple of days at Tunefork Studios on May 25th and December 14th 2010. I am playing my Alan Timmins carbon fibre resophonic tri-cone guitar acoustic and through various digital devices on all but two tracks which are played on my 1932 National try-cone.. No overdubs all one take.

al-Mu'tamid Muhammad ibn Abbad Ibn Ismail al-Lakhmi was the third and last ruler of the taifa of Seville in Al-Andalus and one of the most eminent men of 11th-century al-Andalus, highly regarded as a writer of poetry in Arabic. He was taken into captivity by the Almoravids and exiled to Aghmat, Morocco, where he died,or was perhaps assassinated, in 1095.
